The city of Aarhus has initiated several projects in order to achieve urban goals such as reducing CO2 levels, pollution and congestion. It aims to provide a reliable and strong mobility system in order to meet urban challenges.

About the city

Aarhus is Denmark’s second largest city with more than 1.3 million inhabitants in the metropolitan area and over 400,000 in the city itself. Aarhus is one of the fastest developing growth centers in Denmark. It has an important position as the knowledge center of Western Denmark and a well-developed infrastructure. Establishing a data platform for the city of Aarhus

Together with Fluidtime, the city has established a data platform for mobility. The city is using the data platform to integrate, standardise and combine public and private mobility services. A shared data portal supports both public and private collective initiatives. The platform offers the following advantages:

  • Gaining insights into the offers in this area
  • Understanding the shift in the occupancy rate of private cars
  • Fostering integration and data exchange between transportation services and Mobility Service Providers

Enabling Federation of Danish Motorists (FDM) to provide end-user MaaS offerings

The Federation of Danish Motorists has about 237,000 households as members. FDM uses the Aarhus data platform as the basis for providing the app GoTur. With GoTur, FDM offers easy to use alternatives to single-person trips in private cars starting with private carpooling, bicycle sharing and public transport across the Aarhus region. GoTur focuses on Peer2Peer carpooling as feeder for public transport. Within the app, intermodal routing functions enabling end users to make seamless journeys combining multiple transport services.

Fluidtime enables the stakeholder of the danish ecosystem in the transformation of mobility.
