Fluidtime and UbiGo participate at the UITP Summit

Fluidtime will participate in the UITP Summit in Stockholm from 9 to 12 June together with UbiGo. It is the world´s most important summit on public transport. Fluidtime, a Kapsch Group company, and UbiGo will be involved as pioneers in the field of Mobility as a Service.

Stockholm, 7 June 2019 – Mobility as a Service (MaaS) is the future of public transport. “We are the first company to offer a subscription-based service, which covers all your travel needs by using just one app and all on one invoice for the whole household or business.”, says Hans Arby, CEO and founder of UbiGo. The MaaS solution is based on Fluidtime’s platform technology, which integrates, standardizes and combines all transport services with additional routing, payment and booking services. Visitors can test the MaaS app and Fluidtime’s platform technology at booth A5092.

Following the successful implementation of MaaS in Gothenburg, UbiGo now operates in Stockholm and is ready to extend its service to other cities and regions together with its IT partner Fluidtime. “MaaS already makes the current situation in urban transport much easier, and the importance of MaaS continues to grow when it comes to urban and regional travel,” adds Michael Kieslinger, CEO and founder of Fluidtime. “In the future, the use of Fluidtime’s platform technology will enable mobility customers to organize trips between cities and regions with one app.”

The ultimate goal of the MaaS pioneers is to simplify daily traffic for people and make cities greener by creating a situation where fewer people need to own a car. They want to minimize the burden on mobility customers. This is where public transport plays a key role. Just recently Via ID, a French financier focusing on start-ups in the new mobility sector, invested in the Swedish company UbiGo. At the UITP Summit, UbiGo founder Hans Arby will talk about the challenges that arise when combining the insight and expertise of municipal, regional and private companies and organisations. “Our service benefits from the successful collaboration between all those involved, not least public transport. We want people to feel they have greater flexibility and freedom in their travel. This puts high expectations on us and our partners,” says Hans Arby.
